Fall Nail Inspiration

I’m always changing up my nails and doing something eclectic with them to give me inspiration in my own life. It may sound a little crazy, but when my nails are kept up and have beautiful designs on them, it makes me feel good; just like wearing an outfit that you love. I’m more confident, creative, and inspired by the designs my nail technician creates. Her creativity inspires me, and ultimately gives me more motivation and confidence to go after my goals. Here’s 5 fall nail ideas that I’ve had over the last three years:

Nude Lady- These nails were inspired by my blog launch, as the Goddess Hour blog is dedicated to empowering women to love themselves, reminding my sisters of our strength and the power that we carry, and using that power to live the life we’ve always dreamt of. Women’s bodies have always been a work of art to me. A woman’s body is not just beautiful, but a creation of all. The amount of work our bodies go through every year whether it’s pregnancy, menstruation, puberty, birth control, or hormones; we take our bodies for granted and don’t give ourselves enough credit. A woman’s body has been held up on a pedestal, criticized, glorified, and politicized; and it’s because our bodies are powerful. Our bodies can grow another human being and go through a monthly cycle of (what many call) hell. Take care of her. She’s doing the best she can & damn does she look good. Women are beautiful & our bodies are a work of art, fuck anyone who says otherwise.

Emerald Gems- One of my favorite nail sets. Simple with an elegant touch. I’ve been doing my best to stay somewhat simple with my nails to practice minimalism, and not spend so much time at the nail salon. But if there’s anything that I’m not; it is simple and decisive. However this set was the perfect fit of not too much, but not too little. It looks like I have emerald gems on my fingers.

Evil Eye- Now this is an iconic set. For everyone that knows me, they know the evil eye is something I wear on a daily basis. I gravitated towards the eye symbol my whole life, not knowing the meaning of it until I got older. The evil eye originated during Roman times, and has been around for nearly 5,000 years. It is also a big part of Latino culture where it is referred to as, Mal de Ojo. Pregnant women and children wear it to protect themselves from an evil stare that may be envious, and possibly cause harm to you or your family without even physically touching you. It also represents power, wisdom, and protection. The evil eye has always given me a sense of power, and I believe that’s why I’ve always gravitated towards it. Right before I got them done, I had a business opportunity and one of the last things my dad said to me before passing on was, “Never give up, always reach for the stars”, and I felt that these nails represented the stars and my Hispanic culture. It was the perfect time to get them done because they gave me even more courage to be myself.

Devils Triangle- These simple, yet creative, nails had me ready for another Halloween. I had my nails done just like this back when I was in high school- the pink color and the triangle- but I decided to add a little extra: I added some flames, along with a plant on the other finger. I wanted to add some black to it (black and pink are one of my favorite color schemes) but I can’t do all black nails, it’s too dark for me. So the pink and black was a good balance and I didn’t feel over consumed by the dark (;

Black & Gold Roses- Another favorite set of mine! I could not figure out for the life of me what nail set I wanted for New Year’s Eve of 2019, and I came across this set on Pinterest and fell in love. I’m not a huge sparkle fan, but add some black to it and I’m in! This set is also perfect for the fall; a little Halloween, a little fall, and just enough sparkle. This nail set is one of the good things that I brought into 2020, the rest of the year was a disaster.
