Hello Goddess,
Thank you for your patience for another blog post to come! During my time away from the blog I’ve been doing a lot of learning and recharging. I’ve had experiences with my friends and family that ultimately weren’t the best situations, but what I’ve learned from them has helped me grow immensely as a person. I feel myself evolving and understanding who I am more and more every single day which has led me to more confidence and motivation. I know what I want to do in life and where I need to go to get there- and that’s been influencing my style and attitude. There is something so powerful about wearing an outfit that makes you feel liberated; it gives me that extra boost of confidence that turns me into the woman I’ve always wanted to be. There’s been a saying floating around my whole life and it’s something along the lines of; “dress for the job you want, not the job you have” or, “if you can walk the walk, you better talk the talk.” I’m in this phase in my life where I am working my ass off to build my empire I’ve always dreamt of, but also acting like it’s already here and that has motivated me to continue on this journey and helped me achieve the steps towards my success already. These outfits that I brought into the new year have left me inspired and ready to conquer my goals! So here’s the details:
Welsh Dragon

This whole outfit is brand new- except for the Jordan’s. The Jordan Legacies were purchased around six years ago. I found the pants on TikTok from a newer designer by the name of Nabee and I fell in love with them; the boy got them for me for Christmas and I was excited to see how I was going to pair them in an outfit. The Welsh Dragon symbolizes good fortune, happiness, and good luck- and I chose the right day to wear these pants for a photoshoot with my brand new car that I had just received a few weeks ago. It wasn’t until after the photoshoot though that I was reminded of what the Welsh Dragon symbolized, and it just felt like a sweet way of the universe reassuring my good fortune. The puffer coat is Calvin Klein from Macys and I really wasn’t sure how well it was going to pair with the pants but they seemed to mesh together perfectly.
Lace is Forever

And it’s true. Lace anything has been in my closet since 2012, and will most likely stay in my closet till the day I die. You can never go wrong with lace, and this day I was feeling a little spicy. If you haven’t seen my mood board on instagram yet, there is a distinctive picture of a girl wearing a mesh bedazzled long sleeve top with no bra, and the message behind the picture for me is free the nipple. 2022 has been my year of doing things that have always made me uncomfortable, and getting comfortable in the uncomfortable, so I freed the nipple with this dress and you wouldn’t have even noticed unless you were looking for them. I added the belt to give the dress some figure and a barret to execute the fit. Simple and sexy, that’s the way I like it.
80’s Blazers are in

I wore this outfit on an Instagram live of me introducing The Aphrodite Candle Collection. 80’s blazers have been in for the last 3 years, and I hope that they’re here to stay because the oversized blazer look has been my thing since I was a child watching The Mask, Sopranos, Casino, and Good Fellas. Regardless, even if they aren’t here to stay, I will still be rocking oversized blazers until the end of time. I paired the blazer with a little black belt to give it a more fitting look. Underneath the blazer is a bodysuit from Pretty Little Thing that I have yet to show off, and then of course it’s paired with the coach boots.
Y2K

This blue tie up sweater is one of my go-tos when trying to find something to pair with a skirt and tights. Now that spring is right around the corner it’s appropriate to wear, (probably not in Alaska) and that’s what layers are for. The bralette was purchased from Victoria’s Secret seven years ago, (there’s always a use for every piece in your closet, and that is exactly why my closet is overloaded with clothes). The skirt was a hand-me-down from an old friend, the tights are from macys, and the boots are from a coach. My coach boots are by far my favorite shoes to pair with an outfit, (as you can tell). They’re neutral and go well with jeans, tights, dress pants, and some dresses too. The perfect outfit to start off spring.
Lounging in Ralph Lauren

I found these beautiful pants at a consignment store in Las Vegas called Trading Labels. Trading Labels ranges from designer to fast fashion clothing, there’s something in the store for everyone. I paired the pants with a top from Missguided that I purchased around three years ago, and added my Swarovski necklace for a little green detail to match with the fit. This is one of my favorite fits to lounge in and a perfect pair of pants to wear during a chilly summer morning.
Vegas Baby

The ultimate clubbing jacket. I don’t think I ever took this jacket off my whole Vegas trip. It just screamed clubbing and extravagance- I couldn’t bring myself to wear an outfit without it. As my Bestfriend and I walked down the strip someone literally stopped me to compliment my jacket and said verbatim, “you need to take that coat to the club”, and of course I did. The coat is from 4th Avenue Boutique in Anchorage. If you’re looking for a nice coat or a prom dress, they’re the place you want to stop by. The little lace top is a hand me down from my mom by the iconic Candies from Kohls; yes, you read that right. Purse is from Burberry, bought at the Woman’s Affair here in Fairbanks, and of course the iconic Coach boots that I can’t get enough of. I like to call this fit The Boujee Alaskan.
Casual Lazy

I wore this exact outfit around six years ago when I first moved up to Fairbanks, specifically to a Planned Parenthood meeting with local Fairbanksians about including contraceptive sex ed in our public schools. I got a lot of different looks at the meeting, which used to make me insecure due to trauma from getting bullied in grade school because of my style, but the looks don’t phase me anymore. My style has evolved significantly in the last five years, and so have I. Now the looks I get from locals make me smile because I know I’ve perfectly executed the mission. The dress shirt is from Calvin Klein, Shoes are from INC, pants are Hollister, and of course paired with The Burberry. Simple, casual, sexy chic. Perfect for a winter day in Las Vegas if you’re used to cold weather (;
